Buttermilk Baby is a fast-casual restaurant that reimagines a 1950s soda fountain with a modern, whimsical twist. The exterior features a playful retro color palette and iridescent dichroic film on windows, while swings shaped like clouds and a rainbow-colored arch welcome guest into the space. Inside, the design is vibrant and nostalgic, highlighted by a life-sized carousel horse, a giant sundae statue with a rotating cherry, and custom neon signage. The dining area is filled with pastel hues like pink, lilac, and orange, with pearlescent finishes and natural wood accents adding balance. The atmosphere is enhanced by ambient lighting, cloud-shaped mirrors, and a custom pendant light over the counter. The restrooms feature three unique designs: one with scented, pop art cherry wallcovering, another with psychedelic color waves, and a third with golden bubbles evoking champagne. A kaleidoscopic vestibule, complete with disco balls and changing dichroic panels, connects the dining area to the restrooms, completing the sensory-driven experience.
